Torrevieja is a popular tourist town on the Costa Blanca, attracting many holidaymakers with its beaches, salt lagoons and lively centre. However, parking in the centre can be a challenge, especially in high season. In this article, we will tell you where you can leave your car to save time and nerves.

1. Paid parking (parking lots)

There are several guarded underground and surface parking lots in the centre of Torrevieja. This is the most convenient option if you want to park close to the main attractions.

Popular paid parking lots:

Parking at the Marina (Puerto Deportivo) - located next to the marina, not far from the Paseo Maritimo promenade.

Parking at Plaza de Oriente - conveniently located in the city centre next to the church and cafes.

Parking on Rambla Juan Mateo - one of the largest car parks, which is often used by both locals and tourists.

Parking costs an average of €1-2 per hour, with the option of a daily pass.

2. Free Parking

There are areas in Torrevieja where parking is free, but finding a free space in the center can be difficult.

Where to look for free spaces:

Streets on the outskirts of the center - Calle Patricio Pérez and Calle Apolo often have available spaces, especially in the morning.

The Avenida de las Habaneras area is not too far from Los Locos beach and the city center.

Tip: If you plan to visit in the evening or on a weekend, arrive early, as demand for parking increases sharply.

3. Blue Zones (Zona Azul)

Most parking spaces in the center are designated as Zona Azul. These are paid zones with time limits.

How to use Zona Azul:

Operating hours: 9:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 21:00.

Payment is made through parking meters or mobile apps.

The maximum parking time is usually 2-4 hours.

It is important to remember that parking outside of working hours (at night) in these zones is free.

4. Alternative options

If you do not want to waste time looking for a parking space, consider alternatives:

Walking: Leave your car outside the center and walk.

Public transport: Buses and taxis cover the main routes well.

Tips for drivers:

Avoid parking on sidewalks and disabled spaces without a special permit - fines are high.

Pay attention to signs indicating street cleaning days.

If you park in a zone with a limited time, do not forget to put a parking ticket.

Parking in the centre of Torrevieja requires some care, but with the right approach you can avoid problems and enjoy the city without any worries!
